About Us

Wirral Sea Anglers were established in 1990 but the club was in existence for many years before that as the sea section of  the very well known Irby Angling Club.

We are a small and friendly club who hold  regular shore matches around the north west and north Wales. Entry to the  matches is normally £10 and the format (longest fish, heaviest bag or longest  round and flat) a few examples, is decided before the match starts.

Members and persons  fishing our matches do so at their own risk and it is a condition of WSA membership that each angler must have public liability insurance which can be arranged   through the Angling Trust (formerly the NFSA) or the WFSA (Welsh  Federation of Sea Anglers). WSA will not be  liable for any loss or injury during any of our competitions.

Membership numbers are limited and currently we are not taking any new members. However, if interested  please contact us for further info. You'll find an email address at the bottom of the page or speak to any member. Alternatively, check back here soon for any updates.
