About Us

Wirral Sea Anglers were established in 1990 but the club was in existence for many years before that as the sea section of  the very well known Irby Angling Club.

We are a small and friendly club who hold  regular shore matches around the north west and north Wales. Entry to the  matches is normally £10 and the format (longest fish, longest bag, longest  round and flat, most species) just a few examples, is decided before the match starts.

WSA are affiliated to the Angling Trust. Members and persons  fishing our matches do so at their own risk. Any guest angler (where permitted) must have  valid pl insurance to participate with us. Only policies issued by the Angling Trust or WFSA are accepted. WSA will not be  liable for any personal loss, injury, or damage to material possessions during any of our competitions.

Any angler fishing a WSA match must not leave baited rigs and or hooks unattended or,  leave fish flapping on the ground. Always use  a bucket for fish when taking to next peg. Consideration must be given to other prom or beach users. Each individual angler is responsible for his / her own actions.

Membership numbers are limited and currently membership is full. However, if interested  please contact us for further info. You'll find an email address at the bottom of the page or speak to any member.
